Assess Records and Analyze the Case
1. Case Assessment:
o Screen medical records for case merits.
o Summarize, translate, and interpret medical records.
o Review relevant documents and tangible items.
o Customize brief, moderate, or comprehensive reports based on attorney needs (if requested).
2. Record Integrity and Research:
o Detect any tampering of medical records.
o Apply authoritative medical and nursing literature.
3. Standard of Care Analysis:
o Define applicable standards of care.
o Identify deviations from and adherence to these standards.
o Assess factors contributing to alleged damages or injuries.
Work with Experts and Assist in Discovery
1. Expert Witness Coordination:
o Locate and interface with expert witnesses.
o Provide attorneys with vetted subcontractors to review cases for merit and nursing standards of care, not exclusive to the perioperative area. Subcontractor areas include ICU and Cardiac Cath experience.
2. Expert Deposition and Testimony:
o Provide expert deposition and testimony upon request.
3. Communication and Liaison:
o Serve as a liaison between attorneys, healthcare providers, parties, and other consultants.
